Richmond High School Choices is a group of parents and other concerned members of the public who want to see improvements in the public education choices available to Richmond families.

Whilst there are many good options for public primary schools in and around Richmond, there is currently no mainstream co-education secondary school. This has been the case since the closure of Richmond High School in 1992.

Melbourne Girls College provides the opportunity for single-gender public secondary education for most Richmond girls, but other public secondary school choices are limited.

Due to the lack of clear options for local public education, many families with boys are finding that the transition from primary to secondary school has been unnecessarily fraught and distressing.

It is now well overtime for a visionary State Government to invest in Richmond families and provide them greater choices for a quality public education.
